****Good news ! Gone to new home ****
KAPLAN (M) 6 months old , his life reads like a novel already. fell off a roof (don't ask how), survived and ended up at local shelter - shoulder inoperable but miraculously the joint fused & he only has a slight limp, then stolen & abused, and found by local police. Through all this he has remained the gentlest sweetest sook you could imagine! However, through no fault of his own, he is a restricted breed and his new human companions & home must meet certain criteria under Comapnion Animals Act. We need a foster or permanent home for Kaplam

WALLY (M)currently in foster. Wally, med-large size. Very energetic but loves to be beside you wherever you are. Has begun to be more independant and has his favourite spots to settle but it took him a while to know he wouldn't be left behind. His insecurities surface if he can't get outside to the toilet or if he has been left alone too long without a good walk - gets into mischief by chewing things he shouldn't. A bone is heaven and he adores them. Really wants to please and is a quick learner - would benefit from some serious training - trials perhaps as he chases birds and can take after anything moving -bikes, runners etc so needs to be on a lead unless in a very secure area. Comes back but could get over excited in an uncontrolled situation. Loves to be rewarded and to please!!! Is quite placid in his manner but is a dominant player with other dogs due to his exuberance, but with a dog of his own size and manner of play he is a fair player - loves to run full pelt. He and Muffy are very well suited and play tremendously hard but share everything -toys, bones and eat well together, not trying to steal each others food. Both respect the two small dogs they live with and we have no scuffles, even when the scottie tells them both what for - they both just pull away and leave her alone! He is strong and will need a firm but not aggressive hand, but all he really wants is to please and is very affectionate. Probably not suitable for very young children and is a little cautious of some males! He is quite tentative in unknown territory and is certainly not "aggressive" just sometimes more gently protective

Spend just one minute with the girl and you'll meet her adorable inner self.
With her ears back she smiles and kisses with the cutest pup eyes, you feel lucky to be with her. CoCo loves to play but has some jealously issues with other dogs,
so if you're home is currently without a canine member, please come and meet CoCo. Big yard away from town would be best, with plenty going on that she can be involved in.
She is So smart...she'd love a job

- MUFFY (F) 2 y old( we think a bit of Beagle nature due to some of her mannerisms). She is a very sensitive and intuitive animal who picks up on any issue that may arise - she has a very placid, gentle nature and only barks/bays when something comes into her patch and could be a threat - but it's also an excitement thing when she plays - and she plays as hard as Wally. She cries with excitement when she sees another dog because she wants to play. Muffy is a beaufiful girl with very soulful eyes. She needs a lot of attention, demands to be patted and loves to be near you. She needs company and could possibly become anxious if left on her own too much without lots of exercise. She would be ideal for a very active family that could include her in their schedule or someone who likes to walk and exercise a dog and have indoor company at night. She is very content to be where you are and has a Beagle tendency to sit on top of Wally or whoever, just for dog/human touch. A very obedient dog, excitable at walk time but walks extremely well on lead, sometimes with nose down, beagle fashion, very eager to please, can get car sick if eats prior to travel but otherwise very good in the car. She is very social and loves people and other dogs - not at all aggressive that has been noticed. Has probably never had puppy training skills, like Wally, & plays hard and full on with any dog her size and can be over excitable if more than one dog to play with. She again would benefit from firm training routines but would be very responsive in a non-distractive environment. A really lovely dog. Will need good fences if to be left on her own as she will look for company - doesn't jump the 4ft fence with Wally around but could if she wanted to.
